Ben Clark

Workshop: Mountain Bike Trail Riding
Ben grew up in adelaide and spent many years riding the local trails. Moving to Tasmania in 2015, Ben’s passion for mountain biking grew, as there is no better place in Australia to ride than Tasmania. Ben works at Launceston Grammar as the Community Engagment Project Manager. He was heavily involved in the construction of the School’s Mountain Bike Trail in 2018 and has been coaching mountain biking at the School for the past two years. Ben is an accredited mountain bike coach with Mountain Bike Australia, the national body for mountain biking in Australia. 

Joshua Gee

Workshops: Videography

Josh has achieved many years of experience in the video industry through the production of documentaries and music videos for bands both local and international. His brand management experience, along with his knowledge of media production makes him the perfect candidate to manage the social media pages for clients of brand agency, Think. Josh’s knowledge of social media as a promotional tool has been a crucial addition to Think’s team, as well as his ability to singlehandedly produce entire videos from start to finish.

Abbey Hansson

Workshop: Musical Theatre

Abbey has lived on stage ever since she could walk. In 2015, she took the title role of Mary in Encore Theatre Companies Production of Mary Poppins, winning ‘Best Female Performance in a Lead Role’ at the Tasmanian Theatre Awards. Again with Encore, 2016 saw her defy gravity again as Elphaba in Wicked. The following year, she moved to Melbourne and performed as Maggie in CLOC Musical Theatre’s production of A Chorus Line earning her a nomination for ‘Best Supporting Role at the 2018 Guild Awards in Victoria. After appearing as Kathy Seldon in Babirra Music Theatre Company’s production of Singing in the Rain, Abbey moved to Miami, Florida and to begin rehearsals as a featured singer-dancer with Royal Caribbean Cruises. She spent 10 months on board Ovation Of The Seas. From there, she moved to London with a view to working with musical theatres’ finest on the West End. The COVID-19 outbreak cruelly cut her trip short and now, with the intention of picking up where she left off, Abbey has been spending the compulsory lockdown honing her craft and sharing her skills in her hometown of Launceston.

Sally Lowe

Workshops: Sustainable Sewing

Sally always had a passion for fashion, so it seemed like an obvious choice to pursue it as a career. She gained a Bachelor of Design in Fashion & Textiles with Honours at UTS in Sydney. After studying, her dream of working as a Fashion Designer came to fruition with many overseas trips and collections pumped out every season in the ‘Rag Trade’. Sally returned to Tassie where now she inspires young enterprising designers by teaching Fashion Design at TasTAFE.

Plastic Free Launceston Team

Workshop: Plastic Free Planet

This fantastic workshop will be brought to you by the Plastic Free Launceston Team which is a community group founded in 2017 dedicated to ridding the city of single use plastics. The aim of Plastic Free Launceston is to promote practical ways to reduce single use and unnecessary plastics and to invite the community to increase their understanding of plastic pollution and share their own ideas to combat this problem.

Olivia Morrison

Workshop: Bake Like a Master

Olivia is a small batch butter maker, baker, and owner of Bread + Butter. She handmakes her traditional cultured butter, sourdough bread and pastries. Bread + Butter started in her converted garage in the Launceston suburb of Trevallyn making butter and as demand increased so she has now expanded to create a butter factory in a warehouse conversion at a city premises with onsite cafe and bakery.

Dylan Murach

Workshop: Website and Graphic Design

Dylan grew up in Evandale and had dreams of playing in the English Premier League, however settled for a local futsal and basketball team and a Design and Animation job at Think. Dylan’s first job at Think was a 3D animation of a packing robot which he started at 10am and worked through the night to deliver the same day (4am) to a client presenting to Mitsubishi in the US. Known for being a quiet worker and cool under pressure, Dylan is actually an extrovert and thrives around people. From branding and design to detailed 3d rendering, Dylan is a great allrounder with his broad knowledge and creative skills. 

Ingrid Reynolds

Workshop: Mindful Movement

As an Artist, Ingrid has worked in a range of roles within Tasmania. These include: Streets Alive, Color the Noise, Remade, Junction Arts Festival, costume stylist for Stompin, Tasdance, Mudlark Theatre; It Happened One Day & Yatra (Mona Foma, 2019) As a teacher at Launceston Grammar she works across both Senior and Junior campus in Drama, Music and Movement.

 

Dr Cameron Rogers

Workshop: Origami

Dr Cameron Rogers is a professional mathematician, scientist, teacher and aviation nut. He is currently the teacher in charge of the Aviation programme at Launceston Grammar and is developing a Drone programme for students at the Senior Campus.
